Here’s another review of a new brand find for me, Diego Dalla Palma. I’ve already reviewed their lovely Snow White and the Huntsman palette, which is now a firm favourite for everyday make up. You’ve also got three more days left to enter my little giveaway to win your own DDP lippie.
This new shade is part of the Spring Summer 2013 collection, of which the whole range is based around summery, warm, orange hues. I’m not usually a fan of the colour orange, but having recently (and randomly) had my aura briefly read, I was told that wearing more orange would be good for me. So with that in mind, what the heck, I’ll give it a go!
You know how I like boxes right? Well, this is a nice one. The whole Diego Dalla Palma brand is elegant, modern and classic, exactly what you would expect from a brand that originates from Italy. I love their font too. Packaging geek pauses here.
The best way I can describe this shade in the bullet is that it’s a candy orange. It’s a creamy forumla which is pretty pigmented. With my lips being naturally quite dark, it takes quite a lot to be able to wear a lipstick shade paler than my natural colour. This shade didn’t need any help, which I was pretty surprised at.
It’s a lovely creamy formula that is very comfortable to wear. I really like the colour, it’s a lovely summer shade, but I’m not sure if it suits me. I’m so used to my naturally dark coloured lips, I think it looks a bit strange on my colouring. What do you think? I think this colour would really suit someone with a tan, or someone who is looking for a quirky statement lip colour.
